Scandinavian Film Festival 2021

Now in its eighth year, the Scandinavian Film Festival is a national event presented by Palace which showcases the best contemporary Nordic cinema from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. The 2021 programme includes a number of international festival favourites and award-winners with 20 Australian premieres, highlighting the diversity and sophistication of the region.

This winter join us in this big-screen experience from one of the most exciting filmmaking regions in the world.

Set in Denmark’s underbelly, Jeanette Nordahl’s Scandi-noir follows an impressionable teenage girl who is placed in the care of her estranged aunt, the head of a family crime syndicate.

The County

Grímur Hákonarson’s follow up to the global hit Rams is a rousing, David-and-Goliath comedy about a dairy farmer’s wife who takes on the corrupt local co-op in her remote Icelandic valley.

Feros Care presents the Icelandic box-office hit comedy! Two seniors, fed up with the conditions in their retirement home decide to rob banks so they can afford a small apartment.
